In Sweden, an average of 16 kilograms of edible food is thrown away per person every year. This is partly due to uncertainty and fear that ingredients may have gone bad.
To address this, new technology has been developed that can scan nearby particles and analyze whether, for example, a dairy product is still safe to eat.
As part of a CMF course, this project focused on designing the handheld device for this innovative technology.
An inlet on the underside draws in and analyzes particles from the ingredient.
On off button for the device, and start button for initiating the analysis of particles in the vicinity of the product.
