Born from a material-driven design course, Ull explores how discarded wool can be transformed through new techniques and given a second life.

Nearly half of Sweden’s yearly 1,000-ton wool production is discarded or burned. This project explores how short-fiber wool can be repurposed into something valuable.

Through wet felting and the use of a vibrating machine, I fused wool with rope, and later a thicker wool strap – to create a durable and textured surface.

This method makes it possible to build adaptable, long-lasting surfaces that can be easily repaired using nothing but felting.
